The funds come directly from your local community – none of it is government funded – celebrating the aspirations of local youth and working to help them achieve these aspirations.

1st July not only marks the second half of the year, but it also signifies that applications for 2026 grants have now opened!
If you are located in the communities of one of our 49 local foundations, aged between 16-25 and looking to undertake post school education and training in 2026, then we would like to hear from you!
Applying only takes about 20 minutes and could mean having funds to pay for expenses such as accommodation, tools and equipment, technology, uniforms or textbooks.

🎓 Country Education Foundation Grants Now Open 🎓
JHS students aged 16+ are invited to apply for financial grants through the Country Education Foundation (CEF) to help make further education, training and work more affordable.
Whether you or your child is heading to uni, starting a trade, or getting into the workforce, CEF can help cover costs like accommodation, tools, textbooks, laptops, petrol and more.
📌 Based on financial need, not academic results

Like three quarters of CEF students, Thomas had to move hundreds of kilometers away from his family farm in Coleambally to pursue his Agriculture studies. Support from CEF went towards paying for his on-campus accommodation and even purchasing a new laptop when his broke during his final year of study!

Earlier this month, on a chilly winter`s evening, we joined our partner, @drewscollege at their Orange Regional Reunion, kindly hosted by @rosshillwines .
These events are powerful reminders of the strength of regional communities and the importance of creating pathways for regional students, especially as they relocate to metropolitan areas for the first time.
Thank you St Andrew`s for a great evening and for your ongoing commitment to CEF and rural and regional youth.

We`re halfway through June and there`s still time to donate to help students, like Samantha, look forward to the future.
Like three quarters of CEF students, Samantha had to move away from home to pursue her studies and, with no financial assistance from family, she assumed she would have to fund everything on her own. Support from CEF meant she could cover her relocation costs and focus on her goal of becoming a teacher in regional Australia.

It`s the final day of National Volunteer Week and we have loved celebrating the dedication and commitment of our 430 volunteers from all across regional Australia. Last night, our CEO, Wendy Mason, joined the community of @drewscollege, for their annual Scholarship Dinner, to congratulate and celebrate our 2025 St Andrew`s College-CEF Scholarship recipients, Lucy (CEF Cowra), Isaac (CEF Coonamble & Districts) and Sophie (CEF Nyngan).
Thank you to St Andrew`s College for their support of CEF and belief in rural and regional youth, like Lucy, Isaac and Sophie.
Our student thanks continues this National Volunteer Week!
Luka, a doctor in the making from Hastings, sends massive thanks to the foundation and the countless hours the volunteers provide to help students from the regions.
We love hearing about the support that our 430 volunteers provide all throughout students` study journeys, helping them achieve their education and employment goals.

We always say our students say it best. So to continue our National Volunteer Week celebrations we asked our 2025 grant recipients to send in some words of thanks to demonstrate the incredible impact our volunteers have on their local youth, all across regional Australia!
First up is Annabella from CEF Grenfell, who kicked off her Nursing studies this year, and shared her appreciation for not only the financial support she has received but the mentoring and guidance her local foundation is giving her.
